Values Statement
When I found yoga as a regular practice in my life, I was also slowly introduced to the conversations and vocabulary for what I was looking to explore and dismantle, personally and globally. In 2016 and more so in 2020 I found myself exploring what it is to live your truth.
In a conversation about ethics with a beloved friend and teacher in the local community, I was asked about my personal core values.
It wasn't until intentionally sitting with that question that I could define them clearly. This is what I needed to be in alignment with my truth.
ACCOUNTABILITY. EQUALITY. FREEDOM. CREATIVITY.
I am a white, cis, queer, neurodivergent woman living on Cheyenne and Ute land. I continue to unlearn language, thoughts and behaviors that uphold injustice. It is my responsibility to witness, interrupt and address racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and sexism daily. Especially in the western wellness space.
This statement is only a beginning.
